PA-22-108 Colt - ZS-AAK

Piper Colt 22-9617 was built late in 1962 and exported to South Africa where it was first registered as ZS-DRW. The aircraft moved to Swaziland in 1969 as VQ-ZJG, later 3D-AAK. The Colt returned to South Africa in 1971 as ZS-AAK, operating from Stellenbosch near Cape Town until 2001 when grounded with 4517 hrs TT. The aircraft was exported to Australia in 2003, becoming VH-AAC and undergoing a full restoration, including conversion to tailwheel configuration, fitting of a Lycoming 0-320 and STOL wing tips.
